2nd shooter engagement photo session

Today I was lucky enough to work along the side of Sam Hassas as his back up photographer. He taught me how to " Be a Man".... Ha ha little inside joke. Moving along.... Anyhow Sam's a great guy and a amazing photographer. He's full of creative and crazy ideas that I would of never thought of before. For example his idea to use colored smokes bombs during an engagement shoot. Ha can't wait to see his photos of that. Anyhow click HERE to view a few photos I took during the session

Fun With The Sun

The past few weeks I've gone out in search to get some sun flare photos.... Well I think I've accomplished that. I've attached two different links for you to view. Click here AND here to view the two pages.

Little Baby Gavin

It's been way to long since I've posted anything on here, how sad is that? Feels good to be back. A few weeks ago my girlfriend and I were visiting with her sister and her adorable baby Gavin..... Whom I have to say has the bluest eyes I've ever seen. While all of us were in the back yard I decided it was a great time to snap off a few pictures. Click here to view some of the photos of the soon to be ladies man.

Weekend In Tahoe

This past weekend I drove up to North Shore Lake Tahoe to meet up with my girlfriend who was on a work retreat. Turned out everyone from her company was leaving a day early so we had the whole cabin to ourselves. Saturday night we had dinner at Garwoods just north of Tahoe City. A buddy of mine recommended we try that place out and have a few "wet woody's ." I'll have to say the food was excellent along with the service. This restaurant had a warm elegant atmosphere thanks to the candle lit tables and the live music coming from the bar area. Both of us tried the wet woody which had all kinds of different alcohol mixed in it.....and I do have to say it was damn good. If I wasn't driving I would of had 2 or 30 of em :) The next time you're on the North Shore go get yourself a nice big "wet woody" ;) After dinner we walked out onto the pier right outside of Garwood and took a few long exposure photos of the pier itself. Sunday we woke up around 8ish to clean up the cabin and check on out. We both were dying for some cofffeeeee so we headed down to the "Dam Coffee Shop" to enjoy a nice cup of joe while sitting outside. After our wake up juice we jumped into the car and drove around the lake to Emerald Bay to hike around and take some scenic photos. All I have to say is that it was absolutely beautiful up there. Ocean Speedway , Watsonville CA

Click Here to view some of the photos from Brads 4 banger race.  So last Friday night I was out in Watsonville freezing my ace off taking photos of my buddy Brad racing his 87 Honda Accord. What's damn funny is that my parents are the original owners of the car... then it was passed onto me and I sold it to another buddy who sold it to Brad.  My poooor old Honda!!!

The race consisted of cars that were 1990's or earlier. The cars had to have stock 4 cylinder engines and also have  front wheel drive.  As you can see in the photos they were driving on a mud / dirt track. At times I'd get pelted with mud while trying to get a good shot in. At least my camera never got hit :)  Nothing like coming home to find mud in your hair. Good times!!

A Night Out With My Bro

Tonight my lil bro and I jumped in my car and headed to down town San Jose. The plan was to try and find a train yard with a view. Well since I'm lame and I don't know my own city.... nor where this train station is that I want to photograph we ended up on top of a parking structure. Wasn't really we were looking for but we did manage to get a few good shots in. CLICK HERE to check them out.

Easter Sunday

Isn't she just too cute ? I took this photo of my niece little Miss Maegan on Easter Sunday while she was on her very first Easter egg hunt. I've never seen a child as giving as her. She just loves to share everything she has with you. While on her hunt, at first she'd collect the plastic eggs and toss them into her basket. That is until she found out you can open the egss and well to her surprise there's candy inside. Once she'd open the egg up she would share the candy with everyone. Here some for you, a little for you and you..... Ha I don't recall doing that when I was younger. I think it was more like I was tossing elbows with my brother fighting over eggs or bragging that I collected more : )

Lanee's St. Patrick's Party

Click Here to view just some of the many shots I took from last nights party. I do have to say I had a blast last night and I also met a lot of great people. Now once again, for some odd reason the camera man got flipped off a lot while taking pictures.... But hey, I'm getting used to it now which is great :P Either way the party was awesome! There was beer pong going on in the garage and card games going on in the backyard. Mean while Lanee and her friends where tearing it up on the dance floor haha. When's the next party Lanee? Count me in!! Oh and next time perhaps you should invite the cool neighbor in the robe to your party. It looked like she wanted to join in the festivities :)

A Day Around The City

Click Here to see a few of the photos I took this past weekend while cruising around the City with my cousin. We started our adventure driving down hwy 1 and ended up stopping in Pacifica. Found a spot to park the truck and decided to climb this mountain side...... Oh man am I out of shape. I was out of breath and my legs were on FIRE! I could of used an oxygen tank :) Too make things worse when we finally got to the top of the hill the view was just okay. So we popped off a few shots and decided to hike down the beast and head into the city. After driving around SF for a bit we thought why not head back up to Twin Peaks and check out the sunset. Wow I forgot how windy and cold it can be up there. I thought my ears were going to freeze and fall off. After taking a few photos of the sunset we called it a day. It was just to damn cold up there.... Yah we're a couple of big sissies :P

Golden Gate Bridge

Okay, it's been way to long since I've photographed anything.... so yesterday I called up my cousin and informed him that we are going to make a trip up to SF and photograph the Golden Gate Bridge. Why not?? It's not like I have better things to do on a Sat. night... hmmm. So anyhow we found a great lookout point...... and well, so did a bunch of stoners. Even though we were a good 100 feet away from these guys it smelled like they were standing at my side. I think I got 2nd hand weed smoke. Well HERE ARE just a few of the photos I took last night. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Hockey Game

Last night a buddy of mine invited me to check out his roller hockey game. Being that its been a few days since I've used my camera I took him up on that offer. The game was hosted at the new Silver Creek Sportsplex in South San Jose. I have to say the place is pretty amazing with its indoor soccer fields and hockey rinks all combined together in one building. It was a little tough trying to take photos at ground level with all the players on the sideline getting in the way...... but I think I managed to get a couple good action  shots. CLICK HERE to check out just a few of the photos I took.

Bakers Birthday Bash

Okay.... Why is it that the camera man always gets flipped off while taking photos at a party? I swear I got flipped off at least 10 times :P Anyhow last night I was over at my buddy Chill's house celebrating our good friends birthday. Its safe to say I woke up with a little bit of a hangover this afternoon. I met a lot of new friendly faces last night.... and also ran into a bunch of people I haven't seen in a loooong time. I'll have to say that it was a damn good party and I had a lot of fun photographing people throughout the night. Click HERE to view the photos from the party. Enjoy!

Out For Hike

Today after work my friend Evan and I decided to take a drive up 237 towards the Calaveras Reservoir. He was telling me about this spot he had found which has a little stream that connects to the reservoir. So after driving along this very thin and very windy road we reached our destination. Talk about out in the boonies.... there wasn't another soul for miles. Neither of us had cell service... and um we were jumping a fence that said "No Trespassing". What could go wrong? So anyhow we hiked in the mud to this very small stream and still managed to get a few decent shots out of it. After shoothing the stream for about 20 mins we decided to hike up the side of this hill and see what the view was like. Keep in mind its muddy as hell and I'm not wearing hiking boots since we both just came straight from work. There were times where the hill was so steep that my knees were almost touching the mud. Surprisingly somehow my sketchers kept me from falling down which amazes me. We hiked for a good 30 mins up this beastly hill while the sun was setting behind us. Unfortunately we ran out of time and never made it to the top but I was able to take a few photos of these old oak trees that caught my eye. HERE are just a few of my favorite photos from today.

Testing Out My New Lens

So for my birthday I bought myself a new lens, the Canon 17-40L f/4. Today was the first test run and I have to say I'm quite happy with my results. I talked my friend Chill into taking a drive with me over to Santa Cruz. Well we cruised up the coast line and it seemed everyone in the bay area had the same idea as me. TRAFFIC! and no parking! Well while driving around looking for parking we had our windows down since it was about 60 degrees outside. Funny thing was while passing the light house on my left side you could hear the hippies beating their drums. Chill looks over at me and says " when you can hear the drums, you know you're in Santa Cruz." Couldn't help but laugh and think to myself how true that really is :) Well about 30 mins later while I'm taking my Sunset photos a group of Santa Cruz hippies roll up on their bikes and decide to stop and park it right next to us. Then all of the sudden as I'm snapping off a few photos I hear a drum beat. I turn around and see a few of the hippies slapping their hands on the wooden railing while staring off into the sunset. It seemed they were saying good bye to the sun for the day. Guess they were worried the sun might not come out tomorrow or something. Anyhow HERE are a few of my favorite photos from today. Let me know whatcha think.

New Years 08 @ CK's Pad

Well wouldn't you know it..... Chris had another New Years party! I do have to say this years party was better than last years. Soooo much good food and tons of alcoholic beverages to last us till the early morning. Can't forget we were sporting the Nintendo Wii all night long!!! Nothing like a Taxi ride home at 3am ;) Click HERE to view some of the photos from the party. Ooooh! And make sure to look very close at photo number 27... gotta love a cork in mid air.
