Weekend In Tahoe

This past weekend I drove up to North Shore Lake Tahoe to meet up with my girlfriend who was on a work retreat. Turned out everyone from her company was leaving a day early so we had the whole cabin to ourselves. Saturday night we had dinner at Garwoods just north of Tahoe City. A buddy of mine recommended we try that place out and have a few "wet woody's ." I'll have to say the food was excellent along with the service. This restaurant had a warm elegant atmosphere thanks to the candle lit tables and the live music coming from the bar area. Both of us tried the wet woody which had all kinds of different alcohol mixed in it.....and I do have to say it was damn good. If I wasn't driving I would of had 2 or 30 of em :) The next time you're on the North Shore go get yourself a nice big "wet woody" ;) After dinner we walked out onto the pier right outside of Garwood and took a few long exposure photos of the pier itself. Sunday we woke up around 8ish to clean up the cabin and check on out. We both were dying for some cofffeeeee so we headed down to the "Dam Coffee Shop" to enjoy a nice cup of joe while sitting outside. After our wake up juice we jumped into the car and drove around the lake to Emerald Bay to hike around and take some scenic photos. All I have to say is that it was absolutely beautiful up there. Ocean Speedway , Watsonville CA

Click Here to view some of the photos from Brads 4 banger race.  So last Friday night I was out in Watsonville freezing my ace off taking photos of my buddy Brad racing his 87 Honda Accord. What's damn funny is that my parents are the original owners of the car... then it was passed onto me and I sold it to another buddy who sold it to Brad.  My poooor old Honda!!!

The race consisted of cars that were 1990's or earlier. The cars had to have stock 4 cylinder engines and also have  front wheel drive.  As you can see in the photos they were driving on a mud / dirt track. At times I'd get pelted with mud while trying to get a good shot in. At least my camera never got hit :)  Nothing like coming home to find mud in your hair. Good times!!
