Playing With Off Camera Flash

I've been wanting to try this new technique that I learned from a fellow photographer Ed Pingol. Finally got my chance the other day while visiting my sister for her birthday. The following 2 photos were both taken at around 4pm in daylight even though they look like they were taken late in the evening. Thanks to my brother for holding the off camera lighting I was able to capture these 2 amazing photos of my father and niece.

Christy & Nick's Engagement Photos - Los Gatos

Last weekend I got to meet up with one of my sisters child hood friends and shoot her engagement photos in down town Los Gatos CA. Well it just so happens that a major heat wave struck the Bay Area on the day of the shoot and wow I was on FIRE ! Wearing jeans and a black shirt wasn't the smartest thing I've done ; ) Anyhow I had a blast working with Christy and Nick. What a fun loving couple who really enjoyed it when I said to kiss : ) I'm looking forward to photographing your guys wedding later this summer! Thanks to my brother Jon and my cousin Matt for assisting me in the shoot. CLICK HERE to view the photos.

SF. Embarcadero

A couple of weeks ago on a late Sat night, I decided to head up to San Bruno and meet my cousin Matt at his pad to play some good old fashion Guitar Hero. After jamming for a few hours we thought why not take a drive into the city and snap off a few photos. By the time we rolled into SF it was already 11pm and Faaaaareeeeeezzzing cold ! I think we spent about an hour of shooting around the Embarcadero area ...... and it was around that time when I couldn't feel my fingers. Yah I know , what a bunch of CA sissies huh :P Anyhow Click Here to view a few of my photos. Not bad for hand held eh ;)

Ed and Cat's Wedding Jan 3rd

I had the pleasure of photographing Ed and Cat's wedding on Jan 3rd at Freedom Hall. For a January wedding the weather was just beautiful. The grass was still green and the trees also had a lot of color. Almost looked like a spring wedding not a winter wedding. My cousin Bob and I had a great time photographing their wedding. Lots of friendly faces and good times for us. Oh check out the wedding cake.... the brides sister baked it. Not only did it look amazing but it also tasted grrrrreat. That's my Tony the Tiger impression. Anyhow CLICK HERE to view the photos. Let me know what cha think of them : )

2nd shooter engagement photo session

Today I was lucky enough to work along the side of Sam Hassas as his back up photographer. He taught me how to " Be a Man".... Ha ha little inside joke. Moving along.... Anyhow Sam's a great guy and a amazing photographer. He's full of creative and crazy ideas that I would of never thought of before. For example his idea to use colored smokes bombs during an engagement shoot. Ha can't wait to see his photos of that. Anyhow click HERE to view a few photos I took during the session
